NMDOJ Challenges Federal Fund Freeze

In response to the Trump Administration’s order to freeze federal funds to programs administered by the states, the New Mexico Department of Justice (NMDOJ) has joined a coalition of 22 states challenging the order and has filed a temporary restraining order seeking to immediately restore funding for critical services.
While the coalition’s broader legal challenge proceeds, the NMDOJ is gathering information from programs affected by the federal funding freeze. If your program is unable to access funding or is facing other disruption due to the freeze, please complete the form linked here.

The training is offered at no cost and is open to all interested officials and employees of state and local governments, school boards, and public bodies, as well as the media and general public. View Our New Portal for Missing and Murdered Indigenous People

The Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP) portal is a public-facing database that tracks missing indigenous people in New Mexico. The portal utilizes the MMIP data from the FBI and is interactive in its search functionality. If you do not see your missing loved one on this list please follow the instructions in the portal on how to report and file a missing persons report.
