Office of the Attorney General to host National Drug Take Back Day in Albuquerque
Albuquerque, NM – Today, Attorney General Hector Balderas announced that his office is hosting a National Drug Take Back Day location in downtown Albuquerque on Saturday, April 28. New Mexicans can safely dispose of prescription drugs like opioids, sleep medications and Benzodiazepines in order to keep them out of the hands of our youth and to prevent dangerous addictions. All types of prescription drugs will be accepted for safe disposal by the Office of the Attorney General at Civic Plaza in Albuquerque from 10 AM to 2 PM on Saturday.
“Don’t be the dealer,” said Attorney General Hector Balderas. “Safely dispose of your prescription drugs by participating on Saturday in order to keep opioids and other addictive prescription drugs out of the hands of our children. Participating in Drug Take Back Day will also help keep New Mexico’s water and environment free from contaminants.”
