Santa Fe, NM – This afternoon, New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas issued the following statement regarding the Trump Administration’s new executive order on immigration:
“After our continued legal challenges to President Trump’s illegal travel ban, the White House has removed many of the provisions we contested in litigation. This is a victory for the states,” said Attorney General Balderas. “My administration is currently reviewing the new executive order and will take any action necessary to protect New Mexicans, our economy, and our research and higher education institutions.”
