Santa Fe, NM—Today, Attorney General Hector Balderas issued the following statement
after the dismissal of President Donald Trump’s baseless lawsuit to overturn New
Mexico’s valid election:
“This dangerous lawsuit was a lost cause from the beginning, but Republican leaders
should put safety first and admit their loyalty is to Donald Trump over New Mexico and
the United States; and I am still demanding that they step up and admit that the lies they
continue to spread resulted in the deaths of civilians and law enforcement in a violent
attack on our democracy,” said Attorney General Balderas
