Las Vegas, NM — Today, Attorney General Raúl Torrez announced that the New Mexico Department of Justice will be opening a consumer complaint office inside of the Fourth Judicial District Attorney’s Office in Las Vegas, New Mexico.
The NMDOJ will have a consumer advocate inside of the office ready to assist victims of the Hermit’s Peak/Calf Canyon fire. Walk-in hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Consumers are able to speak one-on-one with a New Mexico Department of Justice advocates to file consumer complaints and get more general information regarding filing claims. The 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is located at 1800 New Mexico Avenue, Las Vegas, NM 87701.
“The Department of Justice is here to protect consumers and those impacted by the fire that ravaged northern New Mexico,” said AG Torrez. “For the victims of the Calf Canyon/Hermits Peak Fire, we recognize how important it is to meet with our staff in-person and how difficult it is to travel to Albuquerque or Santa Fe. We thank District Attorney Clayton for recognizing this significant need and this opportunity to work together to serve the community.”
